David Ball Group PLC has achieved status as an ISO 14001 Environmental accredited company. ISO 14001 is the most widely-recognised environmental management system standard in the world. It demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to controlling the environmental impact of its activities, maintaining compliance with environmental legislation or enhancing the potential environmental benefit of its products or services.
Achieving this accreditation means that customers have the peace of mind that David Ball Group PLC is committed to continuous environmental improvement. ISO 14001 reinforces the fact that David Ball Group PLC takes its duty to the environment extremely seriously. Taking into consideration the effects that the company can have on the local surroundings and community, as well as educating staff and developing environmentally responsible relationships with suppliers and contractors, were key factors in achieving this highly sought after accreditation.
Implementing the environmentally friendly criteria for ISO 14001 has been no issue for eco-conscious David Ball Group PLC. Small changes were all that were needed at the company, leading to the accreditation being awarded in just 6 months from the start of the process to the end, rather than the standard 18 months that it would normally take.
Quality Manager Rowan Swanser is delighted with the accreditation: “We are so pleased to have achieved the ISO 14001 to accompany our ISO 9001 accreditation. For many years we have developed a foundation for internal quality and environmental policies, so it’s great to receive acknowledgement with this accreditation. The British Standards embodies the core values of David Ball Group PLC”.
